Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
That night I learned that practicing before a show is important. I also learned that drinking heavily plus inhaling plant based substances right before a show is never a good habit to start. I had one job that night – keep the music going between songs until the performance was done. I didn’t have a clue about how many songs were being performed, when they started and when they ended, and what was to be played between those songs. It sounded easy enough at the time but factor in my “crossfaded” state of mind and an unprepared set, the night would show otherwise.
